The www. prefix is perfect for twitter as it takes up 4 characters compared to HTTP://'s 7, twitter automatically recognises it as a llink and turns it into one for you! Beware! www. may not be recognised as a hyperlink on some email clients in which case its better to use HTTP:// so that your link text is automatically turned into a hyperlink!
